Passport translation into Turkish, notarised in Antalya

A sworn Turkish translation of your passport, certified by a notary in Antalya, with every name spelt exactly as in the passport. You can order it without visiting us.

A notarised Turkish translation of your passport is often one of the first documents you are asked for in Antalya, whether for a wedding, a notary appointment or an official file. Our sworn translators work from a photo or scan, a notary certifies the translator's signature, and every name matches your passport letter for letter.

When you need a notarised passport translation

  • Getting married in Turkey. The municipal marriage office (evlendirme dairesi) asks for a notarised translation of a foreign spouse's passport, and for an interpreter if one of you does not speak Turkish.
  • Signing at a notary. For a deed such as a power of attorney, the notary may ask for a translation of your passport. If you do not speak Turkish, a sworn translator must also be present when you sign.
  • Other official files. The migration directorate may ask for extra documents in a residence permit file. If an office wants your passport in Turkish, we prepare it to that office's requirements.
  • Buying property, occasionally. The land registry needs a translation only of a passport that is not in Latin script, and only if it asks for one.

What the translation covers

  • The photo page with your personal details, plus any other page the office asks for, such as a visa page.
  • National identity cards, translated in the same way.
  • Translation from the original passport or from a copy, such as a photo or scan, with the translator's statement recording which was used.
  • The sworn translator's signature and the notary's certification. If the office accepts a sworn translation without the notary, we can deliver it that way instead.

How ordering works

  1. Send a clear photo or scan of the photo page on WhatsApp or by e-mail, and tell us which office will receive it.
  2. We check how your names are spelt and reply with a written quote and the deadline.
  3. Our sworn translator prepares and signs the translation.
  4. The signature is certified at Antalya 16. Noterliği, the notary office where our translators are sworn.
  5. You receive a scan by e-mail, and the notarised original at our office or by courier.

Price and timing

A passport translation starts from ₺600 per passport, and a national ID card or internal passport from ₺800 per document, VAT included. Other documents are on our price list.

The notary's fee is separate and paid to the notary. As of October 2026, under the official 2026 tariff the notary's translation fee is 667.67 TL per page, and other notary charges may apply. Notary fees can change, so your quote shows the current amount.

The deadline is confirmed in your quote. Urgent requests are possible: if your wedding or appointment is close, tell us the date first.

Details that save a second visit

  • Names follow the printed page, not the code at the bottom. The two machine-readable lines can hold only the letters A–Z, numbers and the "<" sign, so Müller may appear there as MUELLER, and the apostrophe in O'Neill cannot appear at all. We use the name as printed in the passport.
  • One spelling across every document. A marriage office will usually expect your details to match exactly across all your papers, so we keep the same spelling, order of middle names and any patronymic throughout.
  • Former names need a link. If your surname changed after marriage or divorce, a marriage certificate or name-change document, translated through our document translation service, can show that both names are yours.
  • Bring the passport itself. The migration directorate, for example, asks to see the original passport at the appointment, even though the file contains a copy.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to come to your office?

No. A clear photo or scan is enough, and the translator's statement records that the translation was made from a copy. You can collect the notarised original at our Antalya office or have it sent by courier.

Is a sworn translation enough, or must it be notarised?

The office that receives it decides. Marriage offices ask for a notarised translation, while other institutions set their own rules, so tell us where it is going and we will prepare it in the form that office expects.

Do I need a passport translation to buy property in Turkey?

Usually not. Under the land registry's circular, a passport in Latin script needs no translation, and one in another script needs it only if the office asks. If you do not speak Turkish, however, a sworn interpreter must attend the signing.

Can you also provide an interpreter for the wedding or the notary?

Yes. Marriage offices expect the couple to bring an interpreter if one of them does not speak Turkish, and a notary needs a sworn translator present in the same situation. Our interpreting service covers both.

Send a photo of your passport's photo page on WhatsApp or through the request form, and we will come back to you with a quote.
